It is thought that when the wheel is rotated, the blessings of the prayers are shared with everyone, both the individual who is spinning it and all sentient beings.

The wheel is held by its handle and spun clockwise with a light motion. Carving and decorating it with Buddhist images and symbols may bring luck and various advantages, including purification of bad karma, avoidance of obstacles, and the cultivation of positive energy.
