Collage Quilting Class

This Queen Bee is excited to meet you! Collage is so much fun and the results are unexpected and rewarding. In this class, using the collage method by Emily Taylor (Collage Quilter), we will learn how color and value come together to paint a picture with fabric.

Jenny Satterthwait will be teaching this class. She brings 10 years of collage experience and over 27 years of quilting fun.

Class fee includes: instruction, Queen Bee kit and lunch

Supply List

- Queen Bee Kit  (Available at Idaho Sew n Vac and includes pattern, fabric and Lite Steam a Seam 2)- included in class fee

- Fabric Scissors: I recommend Karen K Buckley blue handled scissors. They are serrated on the edge which cuts down on fraying.

- #2 Pencil

-  Needle nose tweezers

-  Name brand Parchment Paper: 1/2 yard. (I use Reynolds and please note that Freezer Paper is not the same as Parchment Paper). 

- 16” x 18” (give or take) piece of Foam Core covered in felt or flannel to use as a work 

surface

- Pressing Sheet

Nice to have but not required:

  Fusing Mat: I recommend the Precision Fusing Mat (17 x 24) which also includes a pressing sheet

Irons are available in the classroom and NO sewing machines are needed!!
